WHERE IN THE WORLD IS HUBL? 2022

Last summer we set ourselves the challenge to see how far we could travel around the world (virtually) in the first Where in the World is Hubl? team challenge. Our mission was to get the team moving wherever they could, making a conscious and positive impact on our physical and mental wellbeing during the Covid pandemic.

During a time when it was sometimes difficult to stay motivated, we managed to run, cycle, paddleboard and walk our way 31,342km around the world. And as well as getting active we raised £2,400 for three brilliant charities chosen by our team.

Our Where in the World is Hubl? Challenge was so successful we’re doing it again this year, but with a twist.

Introducing Where in the World is Hubl? 2022, National Parks.

This year we’ve another distance-based challenge, inspired by the great British staycations we have all been enjoying over the last few years. Where in the World is Hubl? 2022 is a virtual journey around mainland UK, visiting all 15 of our beautiful National Parks. This time we’re competing against each other in three separate teams, and it won’t just be the distance we cover that counts.

During June, July, and August, our teams are building up points for the distance covered around the 3224.9km route, as you would expect, and also gathering points for a range of bonus activities. These vary from growing sunflowers, to cooking, to team quizzes and brain teasers, not just getting us all moving but encouraging us to learn new skills and engage our brains in different ways.

We all have our own personal reasons for getting active and joining in with the challenge, ranging from getting in better shape, to improving our mental health and connecting with our teammates. This year we are supporting another three amazing charities nominated by the team, and the more points we are able to earn collectively, the more money we will be able to donate to these great causes. This year we are supporting Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK and naturally the National Parks.

We can’t wait to see how much distance we can cover in the next three months and more importantly how many points we can rack up in support of our three chosen charities. I wonder what the weirdest and most wonderful forms of travel will be this year … last year was definitely mowing the lawn. However we do on the challenge, we all know that we will have loads of fun and lots of laughs.
